Live Blue Rice Killifish for Aquariums

The Daisy's Blue Rice Killifish is a beautiful small blue and orange fish. They only grow to 1.2”. They inhabit shallow heavily vegetated slow-moving streams with submerged branches, roots, or leaf litter.  They are active fish that look great in a small group.  They prefer warm temperatures 74-81o F. They come from one stream on the island of Muna, Indonesia.

Please Note: All fish shipments have a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee when shipping with the Overnight (1 Day) option. All other options void our Live Arrival Guarantee for fish.

The Daisy's Blue Rice Killifish enjoys water that has been stained with tannins (Almond leaves would be perfect as cover, as well). They enjoy being housed with other small fish such as Sundadanio axelrodi, Pygmy Cory, Otocinclus, as well as Neocaridina shrimp (they will likely eat baby shrimp). Java Moss is great to give the eggs and fry cover since the adults will try to eat both eggs and fry.

Daisy's Blue Rice Killifish prefer to be kept in small groups of 8-10 individuals.  We feed them a large variety of foods which include finely ground Northfin flake foods, small Northfin pellets (veggie, community, & bug pro), frozen foods.  They also like microworms and baby brine shrimp.

Their scientific name is Oryzias woworae.
